Hi my name is Marina, and I am the owner and creator of "Marina's Moreish Cakes & Morsels" based in Rooty Hill, Sydney, Australia.

Growing up my first memory was that of baking my first cake at the age of 11. I distinctly remember it coming out flat and tasteless and unhappily throwing it in the bin because I thought I would never be a able to bake the perfect cake. And I also remember my Dad saying to me "So what its just a cake?" No it was not just a cake. Thats when I knew that baking was something I was seriously interested in and wanted to perfect.

 

To me cakes are the highlight of every event. They are styled, designed and structured to encapsulate the theme of an event. And a cake that is baked and styled to suit the special persons interests or event in mind, is even more special when it all gets displayed and comes out for your guests to see on that special day....causing others to say..."WOW!!!"

 

Today I am a self taught baker, designer and decorator, and the baking that I  once did in my downtime, and as a hobby, is now a very serious passion which has continued over the years especially with the birth of my beautiful children.  

 

I am a very lucky mother of three beautiful children Dominic, Matthew and Marissa and a wife to a a very loving and supportive husband Darren. I am also a high school science teacher and when I’m not teaching or baking, my other interests are in sewing, gardening, sports and above all enjoying time with my beautiful family.

 

Having created several baked cakes, cookies, cupcakes and various treats for my children's parties including christenings and birthdays, as well as for my family and friends, I am passionate about delivering you high quality baked goods to you for occasions of any kind including birthdays, christenings, baby showers, weddings, engagements, kitchen teas, bridals showers and corporate parties. I specialise in making beautiful cakes, 3D sculptured cakes, delicious cookies, tempting cupcakes, and sweet treats.
